STRATEGIST · AUTHOR · COMMENTATOR

Exploring how the world works, and what it could become.

I connect ideas across public institutions, technology, culture, and everyday life to understand the forces shaping our world and imagine what's possible next.

Curiosity is where it starts.

I've spent my career working inside complex systems, and much of my life wondering about the ones we rarely notice. From public institutions and technology to culture and everyday experience, I'm interested in the connections that help us understand our world differently and imagine what else might be possible.

My Approach

  • Imagine Question the assumptions we've inherited. Look beyond what exists today and consider what else might be possible.

  • Understand Look beneath the surface. Connect ideas, experiences, and disciplines to reveal the conditions shaping our world.^

  • Act Use that understanding to make more intentional choices, open new conversations, and create meaningful change.

I've always been curious about the forces shaping our lives, especially the ones we've become so accustomed to that we rarely think to question them. My interests move across institutions, technology, politics, culture, and everyday experiences because I don't see these as separate worlds. They constantly influence one another.I approach ideas with curiosity and a willingness to look beyond the obvious explanation. Sometimes that means examining how a public institution works. Other times, it means asking what sports, music, fandom, or a shared cultural moment might reveal about belonging, power, or human behavior. I'm interested in what becomes visible when we bring those perspectives together.I don't think understanding the world should be an end in itself. The more clearly we can see the conditions shaping our lives, the more capable we become of questioning them, navigating them, and imagining something different. That's what connects my work across research, writing, strategy, and commentary: the belief that insight can expand our sense of agency and possibility.

What comes next is ours to shape.

A collection of my research, writing, conversations, and appearances exploring the ideas shaping our world and the possibilities ahead.
